Switching between languages ​​in the LMS

Hi Jilmar​, that is currently the expected behavior because Rise saves the learner’s language choice in the LMS, so when they relaunch the course, that language information is preserved and doesn't prompt them to select it again.

To switch back to the original course language, you would need to reset/clear the learner’s course attempt/progress in the LMS.

If you would like, I can submit a feature request to change the language on your behalf.

Hi GingerSwart​! Is there any update on this or has anyone developed a workaround where the learner can opt in to changing their language once they've chosen it? Currently the only option is to unassign and reassign in the LMS. 

Alternatively, I would like to propose that Rise automatically selects from the drop-down list the user's browser language, with the option to select something different. This would save us a lot of headache from errant clicks by users that we then cannot let them self-fix becausee the course doesn't give them that option.

I encountered the exact same issue today, and honestly, I feel it significantly reduces the value of the entire process. I do not see the benefit of offering a multilingual tool if learners are unable to switch languages once they have started a course.

What is even more problematic is that if a learner selects the wrong language by mistake, they cannot simply change it themselves and instead have to contact support to reset their progress back to zero. This creates unnecessary work for both learners and administrators.

If this functionality is currently being developed, I sincerely hope it will be available soon, as the current setup greatly limits the usefulness and flexibility of the platform.

Additionally, if language switching is introduced in the future, I would strongly recommend ensuring that course completion status is preserved when learners switch languages. The whole purpose of providing multilingual versions is to give users greater flexibility and accessibility, particularly in international companies and organizations where people often work across multiple languages.

As it stands, the current limitation seems to undermine the very objective of offering multilingual learning content.
