Character limit for Interactive Tabs verses Accordion
Apr 11, 2021
Is there a way to increase the character limit as it chops off the words. Even better would be for the cell to auto increase in height and wrap to include the complete heading. Sometimes it is visually better to use Tabs than Accordion.
Also when editing the Tab view it does not appear to have a visible character limit, you only see what is chopped off when you exit edit mode. It would also be helpful to be able to update headings in the front view, just as we can add text.
If I am missing something please let me know, I am using Edge browser.
many thanks
cheers Kristen

Hi Kirsten! Thanks for the screenshot and sorry to hear you're having trouble with the text wrapping for titles of Tab Items.
Could you please let me know which version number of Edge you are using? This will help us test on our end and verify the character limit.
Same, I'm having the same issue with characters being cutoff after the 12th letter
Hi Nina! Would you mind sharing a screenshot of how your tabs block appears when you're editing the course?
Is the tab title text being cut off while editing, or only when viewing the published course?
Hi, it cuts off when viewing it on a laptop.
Hi Nina,
My first troubleshooting step here would be to change the size of your web browser. Is there any change when you make the window bigger?
Thanks for the additional information and I look forward to your response!
Is it possible for the various activity blocks in Rise be responsive to various media devices as opposed to each learner having to change their web browser size? Not many are computer savvy so a responsive web design would work better.
Hi Nina! Yes, our blocks are built to be fully responsive according to device size.
If you can share a screenshot of what you're seeing on the laptop, we'll work on some next steps with you! You can share that with us here, and we'll work one-on-one with you.
If you reply to this post via email, it won't include any attachments. Apologies if that's what happened!
