Hello! I'm creating a branching course using the stack button feature. When the user selects a button, I would like the link to open in the same window versus a new tab to discourage the learner to go back and fiddle with the launch page.
Is there a change I can make to the XML to control this setting for this one interactivity block?
Hi there, Jennifer! Generally, individual web browsers control how they handle how links and buttons. Some browsers will open links in a new tab, some in the same window, and others will open links in a completely new window.
Someone in the community may have experience controlling this behavior within the XML, so I'll open the floor for their suggestions!
This is a great idea. The only way we have been able to accomplish this is to hide/close the sidebar so learners can't access it and jump around. Then, when editing the button stack, choosing the appropriate destination we would like the learner to end up.
Other authoring tools allow the developer to add specifics when inserting hyperlinks as far as the target location of where to open. Will Articulate consider adding that in so we can define where the link should open?

Having the ability to determine where the link should open would be very useful
