Can you change the font in Tabs to match the font within your course? When using Tabs the font is different from the font within my course making the content look very inconsistent.
The text within the tab area displays all caps by default. It sounds like you need the option to use lowercase letters, so I'll pass that feedback along to my team.
As for the extra spaces, I'm not seeing that on my end. Have you tried deleting the text on that tab and re-typing it?
I have a Rise site that I am using to provide resources to our mangers. What started as a few articles and a couple of videos has turned into an ever-growing collection that I am having difficulty in organizing. I need a way to restructure the site to avoid this long list of resources learners have to wade through. For a collection of resources on Active Listening, for example, I had the forethought to use a tabs block to group all related resources. Am I able to "convert" or "drag in" current lessons into a tab or accordion block? Is there something else you would recommend?
Hi there, Joy! That's a cool way to use Rise 360. 😃
It sounds like you're looking to convert some current lesson content into a tab or accordion block like you created with your Active Listening collection. There isn't a way to do that for those blocks at this time. You may have some options with grouping your resources into related lessons and using button stack blocks to link to each lesson.
Just a heads up that your authoring URL for your Rise 360 content won't work for anyone but you! You can use the Share URL, however, to link people to your course!
Both my headings and body font settings are set to Open Sans. However, in interactions such as tabs and accordion, the text style in the reveal does not match my body text style. It's the same color but appears to be a lighter stroke. My client is concerned about readability and wants the text within the reveal to match the body text. I can't figure out if this is an option and if so, how to do it.
I'm also having the same issue as Devin above. The larger issue comes down to 508 compliance and the color contrast required at certain font weights and sizes. We are concerned that the lighter weight will knock us out of compliance.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. The default font style in the body text of tab and accordion blocks is light. If you choose a default font like Open Sans, then Open Sans Lightwill be used for the body text. It sounds like you need an easy way to switch the style to Open Sans Regular, so I'll let our team know you need that option.
For now, I would suggest using a custom font, since custom fonts don't include light styles. For example, I used Arial in the screenshot below.
Hi there, I am experiencing the same issue, whereby the text in the expanded sections of Accordions and Tabs (and also the feedback text in Knowledge Checks) is less sharp/more faint - and my client has raised that this is not good from an accessibility perspective. Has this issue been resolved or do I still need to use the workaround you suggest above by using a custom font, like Arial, which doesn't have a Light version?
Also, can the titles in Tab features be made larger (and not all CAPS)?
Hey there Haremi Employee! Good questions! Correct, you'll need to use the workaround suggested above by using a custom font, like Arial, so that it doesn't use the "light" version.
The text area for the title tab displays all caps by default. I understand you need the ability to adjust this to use lowercase letters and increase the font size, so I'll pass that feedback along to my team. Thanks!
Sorry to come back on this, I have just tried to do this but the only custom font available to me is Trade Gothic. How do I upload a Custom font file for Arial, for example?
Hi! Google Fonts has quite a few fonts that you can download; you'll just need to make sure you have the WOFF file format. You can find out more about adding custom fonts to Rise here!
Thanks so much for your help! I think I might have found a workaround. I downloaded Open Sans (which is the default font I was using) and added it as a custom font to Rise. Now, because custom fonts don't use light styles, it has resolved my problem (whereby the text was more faint in Accordions and Tabs) while still keeping the preferred font for the course!
Hi, all. For Tabs Interactions, or Accordion, do you recommend giving instructions for participants to do the interaction? Click the Tabs below.....Or is it a best practice to leave with no instructions?
Hi Johnny! It would depend on my learner type. Are the learners tech-savvy? If they are, you can just leave it as is without any instructions. But if my learners are not that tech-savvy, I would add instructions so that they won't get lost.

Can you share your file so we can see if the tabs are editible?
Sure, thank you!
Hi there, Kristen! The text for tabs interactions uses both your Headings and Body font:
In my sample here, I can see that the title for the tab is using my Headings font, Belligerent, and the description uses the Body font, Raleway:
Are you noticing something a bit different on your end? If you reply here, you can share a screenshot, too!
Is there a way to prevent Rise from capitalizing a letter in the tab title of the tab interaction?
For example, right now the Tab heading reads: "Section 314 (A)" I want it to read "Section 314(a).
It's also adding an additional two spaces between the 4 and the first display of the parenthetical.
Great question, Linda!

Thanks Alyssa! I'll try deleting and retyping the text. That would be fantastic if the team made the enhancement to the headings.
Thanks again :-)

Is there a way to change the color of the tabs on click? They get lost in the background if I change the background color.
