Rise 360: Black History Month
At Articulate, we value each other’s differences. We listen, respect, and accept each person as an individual who has a story worth listening to and honoring. February is Black History Month in the U.S., so our Black Articulate Network—a voluntary employee resource group at Articulate—created a Black History Month Rise course that highlights our cultural history. And we shared our course with the entire company.
So jump in and learn about how African-Americans have shaped U.S. policy, education, and science in our Black History Month Rise course. We used custom lessons built with blocks to celebrate and examine historical figures who’ve knocked down barriers in their quest for equality. And there’s a quiz to test what you’ve learned at the end.

- KerryRasmussen-Community MemberLove it Brandon! Sometimes it is hard to simplify a topic to convey a clean; yet comprehensive piece of information. You have selected and contructed well to achieve both a visually appealling and interesting course.
I hope to use your concept as inspiration in the future :)- BrandonBordenFormer Staff:) I really appreciate your comment, Kerry! Thank you!
- HelenOlleren795Community MemberBrandon - this is an awesome package as an Aussie we don't learn as much as we should about US history and certainly not Black history. Your course flowed easily was interactive, informative and eye opening allowing me to finally get a much stronger understanding of the depths of US history. Fantastic thank you for sharing.

- AnnJarrettCommunity MemberGreat course - I loved it. Our law enforcement association will be creating a Cultural Diversity course and will be including some history and likely some of the information you presented so nicely. Would you ever consider this course to be downloaded and edited?
- BrandonBordenFormer StaffHi Ann,
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the Rise course! Since I technically don't own the content within the course, I can totally send the course your way, and you can make changes to make it fit your needs. Can you provide me with an email I can send it to please?

- CharlesThompsonCommunity MemberThis was absolutely amazing. It is gratifying to finally see some of our lesser-known stories brought to light, and see how thoroughly that black culture is interwoven with the literal fabric of America. The way you told the story was mesmerizing. I aced the quiz on the first try, because I was embarrassed not to!
- BrandonBordenFormer StaffThank you, Charles! I'm so happy to know that you enjoyed the Rise course! We had a great time bringing all of the content and history together.
