Rise: Abducted Adventure Game
In this cool adventure game, you’ll have the chance to rescue your kidnapped little sister. But she isn’t just any American teenager—your dad is a U.S. senator and the stakes are high.
This compelling demo uses Rise’s timeline, quiz, labeled graphic, and block lesson types to create a fun, media-rich experience that looks great on every device.

- MicheleHCommunity MemberGreat job - love the fonts and use of black and white color palette!
- PhillipRobinsonCommunity MemberVery nice. Can I ask how you did your knowledge checks (Reflection)?
- Thanks, Phillip! Rise made the reflections really easy to build. Each one is a quiz lesson with a series of multiple choice questions.
You can build quizzes with multiple choice, multiple response, fill in the blank, and matching questions. Learn more about creating quiz questions here: https://articulate.com/support/article/Rise-Question-Types-for-Quiz-Lessons
And if you want to set a passing score, randomization, and other quiz properties, see this article for details: https://articulate.com/support/article/Rise-Quiz-Settings
I hope that helps!
- SarahMeredith-aCommunity MemberLove this! Could I ask how you used two different fonts please? I can only seem to specify one font in the settings. Thank you :)
- Thanks, Sarah! :) You can choose a heading font and a body font for a Rise course by clicking Settings in the upper right corner of the screen and then clicking the Customize Theme button. You can also upload your own custom fonts, which is what I did for the headings in my example course. - IreneCaldwell-fCommunity MemberLove this! It's inspiring. Can you share your storyboarding process for Rise? I'm just building my first Rise module (I'm a Storyline die-hard) and this adventure game is a great goal for the level of engagement and use of Rise. Cheers!
- Hi Irene, I'm so glad you liked it! I must confess I didn't use a storyboard for this project. I followed a basic chapter-quiz outline. So I wrote each chapter, added images, and followed up with a few quiz questions to help readers retain what they learned about the geography.
I added a lesson for credits and references; then rounded out the project with an interactive map and image gallery for readers who are curious about Shetland.
While I didn't storyboard this particular project, we do have a series of articles dedicated to storyboarding that I think you'll like:
