Rise 360 Accessibility - Repeated Text on Flip-cards
Hi EliGeorge! Thanks for sharing what you’re seeing!
The behavior you described is intentional in Rise 360. When the flip button receives keyboard focus, screen readers announce “Select to flip” and include the card’s content in the button’s accessible label. When a learner navigates to the content itself, it’s read again. This helps ensure no one misses key information, even if they don’t activate the flip interaction.
We understand this can feel repetitive, especially when the front of the card is an image and all text lives on the back. At this time, this behavior isn’t configurable. Hiding the button visually also doesn’t remove it from screen readers.
We appreciate you calling this out and have shared your feedback with our product team.
If your experience is different in any way, what are you noticing? Feel free to share a quick screen recording or a few more details, and we’ll take a closer look.
