Presenter 360: Importing Audio

Do you outsource your voice talent? Or maybe you record narration in a separate app? No problem. Just import your audio files into Articulate Presenter 360.

Importing Multiple Audio Files at the Same Time

Using the audio importer, you can import audio files one at a time or multiple audio files for multiple slides all at once.

1. Go to the Articulate tab on the PowerPoint ribbon and click Import Audio.
2. Select the first slide where you want to import audio, then click Browse at the bottom of the window. (You can also double-click a slide to open the browse window.)
3. Locate the file(s) you want to import and click Open. (Use Ctrl+Click to select multiple audio files. Each audio file will be imported to a separate slide. See the next step to rearrange the import order.)
   
   Although Presenter supports a wide range of audio file formats (see below), not all codecs and bitrates work. For best results, we recommend 16-bit 44 KHZ PCM WAV.
   
   Presenter supports these file formats:
   • AAC
   • AIF
   • AIFF
   • M4A
   • MP3
   • OGG
   • WAV
   • WMA
4. If you selected multiple audio files in the previous step, you'll be asked to confirm the import order. Use the buttons on the right edge of the window to rearrange the import order, then click OK.
5. When you’re finished, click OK to close the Import Audio window.

Tip: If you change your mind about the audio files you imported, just select the slides where you want to remove the audio and click Remove at the bottom of the window.

Importing Individual Audio Files via the Narration Window

1. Go to the Articulate tab on the PowerPoint ribbon and click Narration.
2. Select the slide where you want to import audio, then click the Record drop-down arrow on the ribbon and click Import Audio.
3. Browse to the file you want to import and click Open. (If the slide already has audio, it’ll be overwritten.)
   
   Although Presenter supports a wide range of audio file formats (see below), not all codecs and bitrates work. For best results, we recommend 16-bit 44 KHZ PCM WAV.

4. When you’re finished, click Save & Close on the ribbon to close the window.

Importing Audio Files via the Audio Editor

1. Go to the Articulate tab on the PowerPoint ribbon and click Audio Editor.
2. Select the slide where you want to import audio, then click the Import drop-down arrow on the ribbon and choose either Single file or Multiple files.
3. If you’re importing a single audio file, browse to the file you want to import and click Open. Then choose where you want to import the audio clip:
   • Current position: Audio will be imported at the current position of the playhead on the waveform.
   • Beginning of slide: Audio will be imported at the beginning of the current slide.
   • End of slide: Audio will be imported at the end of the current slide.
4. If you’re importing multiple audio files, the Import Audio window will open. See the instructions above for using the audio importer. Click OK to close the import window.
5. When you’re finished, click Save & Close on the ribbon to close the audio editor.
