Storyline 360: Creating a Panning Effect
A panning effect lets you create movement and guide the learners' focus to specific areas of the slide in succession.
To create an animated panning effect, just add multiple zoom regions to a slide and make each one begin immediately after the previous one ends.
- Go to the Insert tab and click Zoom Region.
- Size and position the zoom region over the area you want to emphasize.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have a zoom region for each area you want to cover.
- In the timeline, adjust the timings of the zoom regions so there are no gaps between them. When one zoom ends, the next one begins.
In the following example, the first zoom starts at 1 second, then it pans to the second zoom region at 4 seconds. It zooms back out to the full slide at 7 seconds.
The key to creating panning effects is to make sure there are no gaps between zoom regions.
