Using E-Learning Characters to Engage and Connect with Learners #247

Using Characters in E-Learning #247: Challenge | Recap

E-Learning characters are a great way to personalize your courses and connect more fully with learners. Whether you’re using illustrated, photographic, or a combination of styles, it’s never been easier to engage learners with characters in e-learning courses.

For Storyline 360 users, you can add greater interactivity and personalization  with triggers, layers, and variables to conditionally change the poses and expressions of characters. Learning to use the built-in characters as well as creative ways to get more use out of the characters is what this week’s e-learning challenge is all about!

Challenge of the Week

This week, your challenge is to show how illustrated or photographic characters can be used to engage learners in e-learning.

I don't know if I should invest in animation software like Vyonde (formerly GoAnimate) or Powtoon or something like Crazytalk. We invested in the Adobe Creative Suite but the ramp up time is huge and there are so few templates with working samples. I want to pull it all together into Storyline. I'm thinking I can do some of the animation that might involve concepts (boxes, text boxes, essentially animated PowerPoint) and th... Expand
