12 TopicsIntroducing Myself: My Instructional Design Journey
Hello everyone, My name is Shruti, and I’m from India. I’m very happy and excited to be a part of this e-learning community! I see this community as a hundred helping hands supporting us on our e-learning journey. I’ve always believed in the power of teamwork, and I’m excited to now be a part of such an excellent community. I started my Instructional Design journey in 2022 and have worked on several academic projects. However, I honestly feel that I still have a lot to learn, especially when it comes to storyboarding and corporate learning modules. I look forward to getting answers to my questions and learning from all of you here. At the same time, I’m happy to share whatever I’ve learned and experienced so far. Looking forward to connecting and learning with everyone! 😊36Views1like2CommentsHello my name is Mari
I am new to this and just signed up. I have been teaching 24 years and looking to retire soon from teaching. I would, however, I would like to get into the field of instructional design by the time I retire. I’m new to all this and any advice is greatly appreciated.36Views2likes2CommentsGreetings from Montreal
Hello everyone. My name is Maribel, I'm Colombian, living in Montreal. I'm new to instructional design; I literally discovered this path a month ago after being lost for almost 2 years (career-wise). I recently moved to this country, and being an immigrant is like pressing a reboot button because you have to reinvent yourself completely; at least that was my case because I'm not a conventional worker. I have worn multiple hats since I left high school, and finally I found a place where I fit with all my knowledge and passion; that place is instructional design and learning experience design. I'm super excited to navigate this path and learn from you all. Thank you.61Views0likes1CommentHi, I'm Ekaterina (Vancouver, BC, Canada)
Hi, I'm Ekaterina! Some of you may remember me from ELH under my previous account, Ekaterina_V. I shared a few projects here last year and was excited to reconnect with the community again. I'm an Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer based in British Columbia, Canada. My background combines instructional design, visual arts, and digital illustration, which naturally led me to creating interactive learning experiences in Articulate Storyline and Rise. Over the past several years, I've developed corporate eLearning courses, with a particular focus on interactive learning, branching scenarios, custom visuals, and learner-centered design. Before moving into eLearning, I studied Fine Arts and worked as an illustrator and art instructor, and I still bring that artistic perspective into my projects today. Most recently, I worked as a Courseware Developer in the aviation industry. Following a company-wide restructuring, I am currently exploring new opportunities as an Instructional Designer, eLearning Developer, or Storyline Developer. In the meantime, I'm using this opportunity to rebuild my portfolio, learn new skills, and reconnect with the amazing ELH community. When I'm not building courses, you'll probably find me teaching art classes, working on personal illustration projects, or spending time with my three kids, two cats, and one very energetic dog. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you and seeing the creative projects that make this community so inspiring! Hi Im Paul based in London UK. I work as a Driver Training Manager in the rail industry with a focus on operational training, QA and non technical skills. Most of my experience is in face to face practical training rather than digital. I'm currently starting to explore digital learning design tools like Articulate Rise and looking to understand how this can be applied in real world safety critical environments. Happy to share experience around train in g delivery, assessment and QA and keen to learn more about building effective digital learning.131Views2likes3CommentsTransforming learning through technology and creativity: 🚀
I’m Monica, an Interactive Technology Engineer based in Mexico. 🇲🇽 My mission is simple: I believe learning at work should never be boring. I’m a huge fan of Storyline 360, specifically when it comes to the "heavy lifting" of logic, variables, and custom triggers. I love the challenge of taking complex, technical content and turning it into an immersive experience that actually sticks. I’m also an Adobe Illustrator enthusiast, so I enjoy creating custom assets to ensure every project has a unique UI/UX. I’ve been a "silent learner" in this community for a while, but I’ve decided it’s time to jump in, participate in the Weekly Challenges, and keep learning from all of you. Let’s connect and keep killing those boring slides! 🎨💻 Best, Monica361Views2likes2CommentsRejoining the Community
Hello, fellow education enthusiasts and content developers! My name is Kirk, and I’ve been an instructional designer for nearly five years, following several years as a middle and high school teacher. I’m excited to be rejoining the e‑Learning Heroes Community after transitioning into a new instructional design role in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management. I’m looking forward to the upcoming challenges and opportunities to collaborate, share ideas, and learn together.346Views1like3CommentsGreetings from New York!
Hi Heroes! My name is Abigail Vettese and I'm a Learning Experience Designer focused on ethics, philosophy, and experiential aesthetics. I love designing branching scenarios and visually impactful, engaging courses. I recently attended my very first DevLearn where I won Best Soft Skills Solution for my project, The Agency Algorithm, an immersive course exploring the ethical implications of AI technologies. I'm hoping to connect with more folks in the industry who are interested in innovative approaches to adult learning. Happy to be here and to be inspired by you all! :) Feel free to check out some of my work here!840Views6likes14CommentsNew to ID!
Hi there! I'm Nat, I'm currently attending University of San Diego pursuing a Masters in Instructional Design and Technology.
