Hello! For several weeks, TomKuhlmann has been sharing loads of great free characters 'that you can use as you wish' in elearning projects. I've been waiting for the right moment to use one in a Challenge. So here's Adam Kenner, guest-starring in my Comic Book-Inspired demo... This is built on one slide, with three zoom regions timed to highlight different sections of the comic book grid. The animation is largely achieved with state changes and some motion paths and emphasis animations here and there. Music from Suno, sound effects generated by Articulate's AI assistant. Electrical Safety for Electricians
This is the beginning of a course on electrical safety for electricians (if I didn't have to comply with corporate branding requirements). 😭 Electrical Safety I used: Articulate AI art - backgrounds and character. Character - removed background in MS Designer. Sparks - made with Articulate AI art then removed background, added pulse-shrink-grow-pulse animations at different intervals. Giphy.com - used Matrix screen. Gemini AI helped me make the script more anime style and Articulate AI converted the script to audio. The mission? For my entry, I created a phishing example that spiraled into a little comic adventure—complete with a clueless employee, a suspiciously enthusiastic scammer, and a few red flags waving in the background. Hello! Non-human characters can be a strong choice for your e-learning courses. They're often more popular with users than AI avatars. My characters always come across as a bit grumpy, for some reason... Believe it or not, this is a regular 'pick one' freeform question slide. The character was created using Nano Banana, and I manipulated it in Pixlr to create the different mouth shapes. The animation is achieved through rapid state changes, synchronised to the waveform of each bit of narration. This is controlled by Javascript that I wrote with the help of Claude.ai. I know I always say these challenges are fun but this one was a blast! 😁 The background and heart were created by Articulate (along with the TTS). I tried using Articulate to generate the characters but it couldn't get it right so I used Nano Banana. I uploaded an image and gave it the same style prompt as Articulate's 3D Animation style. To get the different expressions, I just kept prompting Nano Banana to "keep everything the same and make it look (insert emotion here)." Once I downloaded each expression, I opened the image and used MS Designer to remove the background. I stacked the images and overlapped the fade in/out animation so the transition from one expression to another was smoother than changing states.
