Hi everyone!
Here is my course: https://share.articulate.com/Ce-xGcyzg-vfCmbSBFLcv
- Share 3 changes you made:
- Added AI audio to each "Statement" Block to enhance engagement and increase emphasis - I converted a couple of the opening lesson text to statements as well.
- Broke up some a the text through out with Image + Text blocks for visual impact
- One small change I made was move the continue button to the next lesson to follow after the "in the next lesson, you will..." text. This just made more logical sense to the flow than it's original placement before the text.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable: I really enjoyed using the 'Create AI Image Prompt" feature - I found it highly valuable in that it gave me more descriptive words than I can usually come up with off the top of my head and helped me create more customized prompts.
- What challenges: There were instances where AI assistant didn't support what I was trying to do in one space but was available in a different area. For example, I was trying to generate four column grid with images - I was able to add the block but then I wasn't able to intuitively edit the image the same way I could quick edit the content. I then discovered the edit with AI button that enabled me to replace an image with AI.
Overall, I enjoyed having some dedicated 'play time' with the AI features, and desperately waiting for more enhancements to come to Storyline😄.

A_Jones, nice job! I really liked your addition of the “In the next lesson...” text - as a learner, I always appreciate that kind of preview because it helps “prime” my brain for what’s coming next. As a former elementary school teacher, I like to believe that learning through play is the best way 😄 I don't use Rise currently for work, so I agree with the Storyline statement, but it was definitely fun to experiment!

i. One thing that I really wanted to include was real-world scenarios to help learners understand exactly how interactions can happen in their day-to-day. I created the scenarios by asking AI to create a new AI block, and then asked it to take the content from the section to help me create a real-world scenario. From there, I used that scenario to create a quick script to plug into the AI audio, to help the learner feel like they were part of an actual conversation. This is something my org is looking to do more of, so I was excited to be able to play around with it, and was super happy with the results!
ii. This one is fairly simple, but I love having the ability to take a text block and have the AI turn it into something interactive, so I chose to go that route a couple times in this course. It made it easy to also adjust the types of interactives I was using so that I didn't go to heavy on one kind. The mix is something I truly believe helps learners to stay engaged.
iii. I also really enjoyed changing the tone. For some of the bits of material that felt a bit dry to read, I updated the tone and edited some of the text together to make it a bit more fun to read. I also used Ai to bold some of the key terms, as I find it helps with retention. - Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
- I believe the ability to use the AI block to create a real-world scenario that I could then quickly flip into a script to create a conversational audio block was the most valuable to me. I feel like it adds a personal touch, helps learners feel connected to the content, and because it's something my org is interested in leaning into. I was actually surprised by how well the AI did with building the scenario in general. - What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- For this course, I wanted to play around with images generation and thought an origami-style cartoon would be fun to try and generate, so I used AI to create images of origami-style figures dressed in business attire so it fit in with the theme of the course. I found that there was sometimes some bias with how some of the characters were generated, and when trying to generate a specific type of character (masculine vs feminine presenting) that it sometimes completely lost the cartoon-y style and generated images that were more realistic, despite the prompt always working for the masculine generated images.
- KathrynKennedyCommunity Member
I loved your images and especially your audio scenario! Great ideas! I also liked your divider did not just say 'continue', but acted as a tease for the next topic. Great job!
- JaclynMartinCommunity Member
I love the images and the color blocking you used to make content flow. It definitely makes it clearer for the audience. Nice work!
- TaylorSakinsky-Community Member
AmandaJaconelli okay I'm obsessed with the origami-style images! What a fun touch! Really nice work on this sample! I thought the AI-generated scenarios paired with the conversational audio added a lot of realism and made the content feel more immersive for the learner.
I also liked the mix of interactive blocks throughout the course; it kept the experience feeling fresh without overusing one interaction type. I especially enjoyed the interaction with the four pillars and the numbered icons above, it was super creative!

- Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!
I made significant changes to the theming - lots of color and AI dividers to break up the linear structure of the course, divide areas of content, etc. I made a lot of changes to the text - changing the tone, making content shorter. So much text can feel overwhelming. I also created 3 audio scenarios. I asked the AI Assistant to take a paragraph of content and create a scenario from it. Then, I used a Custom block with audio in it with the scenario. I'm not always a fan of audio in courses, but I do like it here so the learner can experience something different from the constant text.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
Instant convert!! I love being able to convert a block and have options without spending the build time. Love to compare them, it helps me make better decisions. Also, the AI images - I did play with a custom prompt because I wanted the images to only use certain colors to match my theme. That was fun. Beats making tedious edits in Illustrator for hours, for sure! 😆
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
Sometimes, I ask it to make something shorter and it barely makes a dent. I quickly learned you can actually say - create 3 sentences or 4 bullet points. Images, too, but I just need to put in the prompt effort 😅
- TracyMcLean-175Community Member
Wow. What a great job. I loved the transition of the content it was smooth and easy on the eyes and the color scheme worked for me as well. Your work was very well organized and the flow made it easy for me to follow.
You made effective use of the Theme. I think I struggled a bit just to make sure that the Theme flowed properly throughout. You did a great job with that.
It's tough to say what would make your course even stronger because it's pretty much a perfect course. If anything, I would say more images, graphics or pictures only because I'm a more visual learner. But everyone learn differently.
- TaylorSakinsky-Community Member
HeatherMichael The audio scenarios were a creative use of AI to vary the learner experience and break up the reading flow! Instant convert really IS a game changer too! Being able to quickly compare layouts and interactions saves so much time on the development side of things. Interactions that used to take up hours are now done in the click of a button. Your reflection on prompting was spot on as well; AI definitely loves specificity!
- GraemePCommunity Member
Hi Heather!
I think the audio scenarios and your image style work great! Love that line and wash/watercolour style, it fits well with the content :) Chunking content is so important, especially with long format source materials, this is where AI can really help as you have demonstrated here. Isn't the instant convert feature great! So easy to build multiple versions of a block and have options to choose from without laborious rebuilding every time. Would you be willing to share your image prompts?

Three changes I made:
- Adjusting the knowledge check questions and feedback. Some of the question choices in multiple choice formats were blatantly incorrect, so I had to refine the AI prompts to make them more realistic and challenging. I also had AI refine some of the feedback to make it corrective rather than merely say " go back and review..."
- Images generated lacked the diversity that I'd expect to see with a generic prompt of "a group of people." Had to specify that I was looking for diversity, which seems like it should be the default.
- Loved playing with the summary, auto convert and quiz generator functions.
One valuable feature I used was the auto write to generate transitions between topics and lessons to help the content flow more naturally. Sometimes these paragraphs needed editing, but they were a very solid start.
I think the biggest challenge that I alluded to above was having AI create knowledge check options that were realistic and not so obvious. AI falls into the same trap that I see in less experienced designers, when the correct choice is positive and drawn directly from the content and the incorrect responses are very negative and so obviously not correct. Experience in instructional design is still critical even with how well these new tools save us time!
- JeanMarrapodi-cCommunity Member
I loved your opening image. What a great concept! The color scheme worked well too. And Alex's story??? Genius. I must remember that technique.
I've said this in a couple of reviews and wonder if this is something the AI needs to adjust. Several of your quiz questions were multi-select, but only had one answer. You use the circles when it's multiple choice with one answer, and the squares when it's more than one correct answer. I'm kind of surprised the AI didn't catch that. AlyssaGomez Is this something AI should pay attention to?
This is a good call out, JeanMarrapodi-c! I'll start keeping my eye on that, as well, and I'll bring it up to our Engineering team!
- MelindaKeskeCommunity Member
Kristine, I too love that you started with a story, and made that an introduction to the course. Very inspiring!
- TaylorSakinsky-Community Member
KristineLMarane ah, the important discovery of self-checking! You can never fully trust AI-generated content, so having a human set of eyes on it definitely makes a difference! I sometimes struggle with the answers being too obvious as well - so it sounds like the good news is that AI won't be taking over our jobs any time soon lol.

Hi, everyone!

Three changes I made were:
- Using AI to edit the images within the Building Trust, Engagement, and Purpose lesson to include a more diverse range of people so the visuals would appeal to a broader audience.
- Using AI to convert paragraph text into a sorting activity.
- Using AI to generate more content based on existing content ("Write a paragraph that flows naturally from this text").
Valuable feature:
- I would say having AI write a prompt for you was great to learn because this can solve that writer's block issue of not knowing what exactly to use for a prompt when generating an image.
Challenges:
- I'm not sure it's a challenge but there are times when you bump up against the current limitations of AI. For example, I was trying to convert a numbered list into an accordion or tab interaction but it apparently didn't have enough information to add in the headings itself.
- JeanMarrapodi-cCommunity Member
Nice job on this John. I love your avatar by your name and how you carried that cartoon type style over into your opening image as well as the calming influence of your color choices. I have the same feedback for you as I just gave Carolyn on your quiz questions. Many of your questions were multi-select, but only had one answer. You use the circles when it's multiple choice with one answer, and the squares when it's more than one correct answer.
What did you use for your prompt to get your line drawing art image?
- tjnikoCommunity Member
Hey there, there was a cool thing you did that I liked. On the flashcards you added and example of a question to ask for each card. I think that works to bring a little real life connection so you know what these concepts look like on actual people. I did something very similar but I added audio for the sample using different voices. You did something similar when you added a "tip" to each item in one of the accordions. I like that style of having the concept demonstrated briefly like that. If I could offer a little feedback, I would have bolded or changed the font color for the "tip", like you did for the "Ask" notes. (It's not a real criticism because I know we only had so much time.) What I did was essentially put the tip/ask into audio and let AI add human tone to it.
- IDAlivetekCommunity Member
John_Moore_YL Great work! I really like how you included tips and example questions throughout the content that they could use right away. What a great way to take these concepts from theoretical to actionable. I also really like the summary you added after the quiz to help round out the experience.
- kristinamarroneCommunity Member
Here is my creation! I changed style, interactive cards, and simplified/shortened text/content wherever possible (AI is so wordy!)
The auto convert and generate quiz AI features were my favorites. Adding AI audio was also clutch.
Challenges remain with AI trying to build on source docs versus using what is in them in its original form. Had to use prompts asking it not to embellish or lengthen too much.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the painting headers you used! I tried to create a custom style based on the Impressionist painters but never got that to work. How did you prompt that?
It was interesting how this changed the overall tone of the course. It made it zippy and friendly, which I liked. I had a bit of a hard time with the bright fuchsia, but that could just be old lady eyes. Not that I didn't like it. I just found it so eye-catching, it pulled my focus away. It's hard to explain. It was just something I noticed.
- KathrynKennedyCommunity Member
I really like your course Kristin! Images are great! How did you create the Summary and Quiz at the end to cover the entire course?
- TaylorSakinsky-Community Member
Great work kristinamarrone! I have to ask - are all of the images AI-generated? I feel like AI has yet to perfect adding text to images, but yours all look polished and correct!
The generate quiz feature is SO helpful! I feel like quizzes are typically the last thing built in a course and sometimes it's hard to come up with meaningful questions. I'm glad you found value in it, too!

Hello! Tech question -
In Storyline, I do not see the same AI Assistant features as in the video for Week 2: "Practice 10: Sync Text to Audio Narration." I have selection options -- Generate image, Generate quiz, Generate [question, summary, text-to-speech, sound effect] -- but no freeform text field to make a specific request. I noticed in the video the AI Assistant pane says "Beta". Is this available? I do not have an alert to Update in the Articulate 360 app.
Note: This feature was also showcased in Week 1: "Practice 3: Create AI Entrance Animation."Hi PamelaMcCoy! In Storyline, please click Help > About Storyline. From there, you should see the version number that you have installed. The latest version is Build 3.116.36838.0, which was released on May 5, 2026.
What version number do you see?
- PamelaMcCoyCommunity Member
Hi AlyssaGomez - thank you for replying! I have v3.101.349610
Is there another way to install an update other than from the articulate 360 app?
Updated: I found an update in the More options - looking into getting an admin from my office to allow it to install.

- I used AI Rewrite: Make Shorter or Make into Bullets. My company writing style does NOT like wordy blocks of text. We write direct & use bullets a lot. I also liked the Instant Convert to break up a lot of text into something more interactive.
Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
- I think I'll use the AI rewrite most because it's so versatile to check for spelling/grammar, use the prebuilt prompts or even write your own! It's amazing how dialed in you can get with your own prompt.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- It's not perfect. Generating AI images can take trial & error to get the image & style you want. I also couldn't make it work to tell AI Rewrite to change the bold words to a certain color.
- JeanMarrapodi-cCommunity Member
I like the overall feel of your course, and how you reinforced the pillars theme in some of your illustrations. I noticed a couple things on your quiz questions. First, one thing they teach you in test taking classes is the longest answer is generally the right one. That fit on several of your questions. If the AI did that, you want to prompt it to modify the choices to be similar length. Secondly, the last batch of questions were all multi-select, but only had one answer. You use the circles when it's multiple choice with one answer, and the squares when it's more than one correct answer. I'm kind of surprised the AI didn't catch that. Otherwise, well done!

Wow look at your amazing imagery! I think that overall, your images enhanced and made this course really come together for me. In the first lesson, I believe you added Continue blocks which really helped me slow down and take the course slowly. I'd love to see those blocks used in all of the lessons!
- EdwardParkCommunity Member
Hi CarolynKeilman nice job! i really liked the theme page and the custom images you created throughout the project. Also, the block of texts that you have with different backgrounds was a nice touch to break up the content.

Hi everyone,
First I want to let everyone know that I'm not really "that student" who has to be first, do the thing ahead of time (ha ha!) -- it's just that I had time today and I'm booked the two real weeks of the course so I wanted to try to complete it while I had the chance.

- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
I made a bunch of changes to the course draft to improve learner engagement, but the three main ones are: I had it revise the learning objectives (it originally gave too many for a course of this length). I made a lot of changes to the theme including color and font choices. I utilized the AI generated images to add some more visual interest. Specifically, in the first lesson, I added images to each of the four pillars. I also used AI to generate the main course image (then cropped it). I also really enjoyed adding the audio pieces to the course. I made a "scenario" scene in the last lesson that I think will really increase learner engagement and interest.
I think the ability to take text then use the "generate AI prompt for image" feature was really helpful to me. I'd not tried that technique before and I felt like it was really useful. I also really appreciated the tip about using the same image style throughout in order to get more consistency.
The challenges were similar to ones I have in general getting an AI to do / produce what I want -- it's always about the prompt. For example, I realized that by writing "a diverse team of workers" I would get a better mix of race & gender than by writing "a team of diverse workers" (which resulted in almost all white male people in the group).
I will check back closer to the end of the cohort so I can see everyone else's creations! I'm looking forward to seeing what you all made! 😀
If you get a chance, I'd love for you to reply and tell me what you think about mine and if you have any suggestions (or if you noticed anything that I might have missed in terms of what the AI generated). Thanks in advance and I really enjoyed being in here with you all.

I like your color schecme, but especially how you varied the colors of the blocks. I always forget about that feature. I especially like your hook at the beginning of which team you are building. That added a WIIFM for the learner. Nice job!
- RosJohnson18Community Member
I really enjoyed your course, Diana! I enjoyed the visuals you created as they were both engaging and diverse. The tab exercise in the first lesson is a stand out one to me.
- TaylorSakinsky-Community Member
Great work, DianaPerdue - I think one of my favorite features is also the "generate AI prompt for image" as well as the consistent image style. The AI image prompt helps take the guesswork out of generating the "perfect" image.
I really enjoyed the sorting activity at the end!
- DianaPerdueCommunity Member
Hi there, this isn't my "official" post for the assignment, but I wanted to mention a tech glitch I discovered. I didn't see another discussion forum to put this so hope it's ok I put it here. When I was going through the Tips & Tricks: How to Get the Most Value Out of AI Assistant and trying the formatting key words & phrases in lesson 4, the AI didn't change the color of the bold words. I could "manually" change the color by selecting and putting the hex code, but the AI didn't do it. They remained black not blue. Wondering if anyone else had this issue? I'm on a Mac. Also, wanted to mention I had an issue being able to see the drop down menu items that included options mentioned in the practice sessions -- I ended up having to adjust my zoom to less than 100% so I could see the items, otherwise, they only appeared as one line at a time.
- KathrynKennedyCommunity Member
Yes! I had the same issue. Thank you for reminding me!
Hey DianaPerdue thanks for mentioning this! Did you notice the words did not turn blue even after you selected "Replace text" or "Insert below" to return back to the paragraph block? I ask because the AI text editing window doesn't show color, but you'll see the color after you accept the changes and close the window. Let me know if you already tried that!
- DianaPerdueCommunity Member
AlyssaGomez correct -- the words didn't turn blue even after I inserted the text below and returned back to the paragraph block.
