Button state with video has stopped playing video

Hello,

In the eLearning I am working on, I have a slide with sections laid out that the user needs to complete/view.  The buttons have several states, including a "Viewed" state (which includes an animation/video to show the section was completed) and then a "Viewed2" state (for when they return to the slide again after then button has already been in the "Viewed" state. Essentially when a person views a slide and returns to the landing slide, the "Viewed" state will show the button turn from gray to its fill color and plays a sound effect.  Of course as they continue and complete other sections, they should just see an already filled in button ("Viewed2" with no animation).  

The landing slide includes a blank return layer to prevent the introductory audio on the base layer from playing. I also have the return layer set to reset when returning. There are triggers linked to each button to set the state based on 2 different variables related to the button.  

Issue 1: When the button is in the "Viewed" state, the video for that state is not playing.  (This was working perfectly 5 days ago, and I made no changes to the triggers. I am also 100% sure that the "Viewed" state trigger is working because the viewed state trigger begins with grayed out medicine bottles whereas "Viewed2" begins with completely colored in bottles. 

Issue 2: Occasionally, the "Viewed2" state is not being immediately triggered. When returning to the landing slide/layer after the user has viewed the button's "Viewed" state, the user should now see the button in the "Viewed 2." The distinction is that the first has an animation/video showing completion, and the second state has no animation.  

Any ideas why all of a sudden the video in a button's state is not working? And any insight on why triggers related to "Viewed2" state do not always work? Any solutions for getting around these issues?
