Can Buttons be Programmed to link to Resources for download?

Sep 18, 2018

Hi there! Novice user here :) I have uploaded a PDF into my Resources. Is it possible to have Buttons  - Link to resources for download?

Thanks!

Hi Tom,

Thanks for sharing this! I was using triggers to download files but if I changed my folder structure on my PC in any way I would have to relink everything.

Worth noting that if I hide the resources tab in the menu this will break =( I'm not a fan of the resources tab as it just lists everything and there could be loads of links.

But still, very happy and this should help now!

Hi, Scott,

Yes, you have to be very careful when linking to files on your computer. Any changes to the file, file name, and/or path can mess things up.

I agree that the Resources tab isn't ideal, especially when there are loads of links.

Instead, consider putting the resource links on a lightboxed slide. That lets you provide more info about what each link is for. And that can still be available via a Player-level tab. This post provides more info:
