Cant remove 'jump to next slide when timeline starts' trigger

I have am having a problem with a file where the 'jump to next slide when timeline starts' trigger is being added to my quiz question slide when I copy and past the slide to change the question. I can only see the trigger in storyview and cannot semt o remobve it. Can anyone help with this?

  • in story view click on the slide hover over the red arrows on the one that says timeline start right click choose disconnect

  • Are you possibly able to advise on why storyline did this and how I can prevent it?

  • I think it is a bug that has been recently introduced, seems to get worse if you duplicate the slides and if you do it again and again seems to keep adding in the trigger.

    It has been reported

  • Yep, that is exactly what happened. By the end of the assessment, i have about 17 additional triggers to delete haha. Is there now a way i can create a trigger and add it to every slide at the same time?

I want to add a trigger to jump to next slide when submit button is selected but i need to add to every slide.

  • You can often paste triggers by selecting the slides in the slide sorter on the left and then pressing ctrl+v but that will not add the condition although the condition will be red so could then be applied on each slide not sure it will save you any time.

  • Hi Luke,

If you still have a sample file displaying this behavior, I'd be happy to take a look. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

Hey thanks Leslie. I have managed to sort it now. Apparently it's a bug, but thanks so much for offering to help.

  • Hi Luke and Phil!

Great news! We released a new update for Storyline 360 today. In Update 54 (Build 3.54.25674.0), we fixed the bug where when duplicating question slides or importing them from a template, a hidden trigger could get added to the slides, causing them to be skipped in the published output.

Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app! If you run into any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out for help in this discussion or a support case.
