Cursor Issues in Windows 11
Hello!
I am experiencing an issue in Storyline 3 where my cursor disappears and behaves erratically with certain objects. When I move the cursor over the workspace, it disappears and seems to wrap to the other side of the workspace. I think the cursor speed increases drastically while it's hidden, causing the wrapping effect. If I add a shape, the cursor reappears over the workspace, but disappears when hovering over the shape, and again, seemingly wraps to the other side of the shape. While moving the shape, the cursor speed increases drastically. The cursor reappears if I hover over the resizing and rotation tools, but it flickers.
Even on starting Storyline, when I hover over "New Project", "Record Screen", etc., the cursor disappears and wraps to the other side of the objects.
I hope there will be a solution for this soon--Storyline is unusable for me with this issue. Please let me know if you can help!
With respect,
Sean

Hi, Sean.
Thank you for reaching out!
I have a few questions to narrow down the issue:
- Are you working from a local hard drive? We don't recommend working with files on a network drive.
- Have you attempted to repair Storyline 3? Here are the instructions.
If a repair doesn't solve the issue, I'd like to connect you with one of our support engineers. You can open a case here.

Hi, Sean.
Thank you for sharing the screen recording!
I added it to your case with Carlo, so we can continue investigating what's happening.

Hi Maria, I'm no longer trying to resolve the issue. This was just one of several issues I had trying to run Storyline on an M1 chip. Overall, the amount of troubleshooting I've had to do has been costly in terms of lost productivity. Just putting it out there for other users who are considering a jump to M1--it's not a good idea!
