Oh no! The good news is there may still be a version of your project in your temp files. Here's how to check:
1) Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
2) Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
3) Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
Hey Virginia, I'm so sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of another way to recover your file. If you're working on a company computer, you may want to try reaching out to your IT team to see if they have any suggestions for recovering files on your machine.
Also, I just wanted to let you know that replying via email will include your signature. You're welcome to pop into the thread here and edit that info out if desired.
Glad to see that Les was able to pop in and assist you here, Virginia! So happy to hear that it was still in your recycle bin, great suggestion Les!
Also, just a quick reminder that if desired you can stop by the thread here to edit out any personal info in your email signature when you have a chance.
Also, there is an another technique which I just found the hard way. You can right click any file or folder, and choose 'Restore' option. If you are skeptical, first make a copy of the file/folder. Hope it works for you. It just worked for me, and I am so... very happy. Now my next step would be to backup this particular folder in multiple drives..just in case... :)

Hey Virginia,
The file is not there. Does that mean that it was lost?

Did you look in the Recycle Bin? If you deleted it, it would be in there. Open the Recycle and select Restore.
Thank you ! it worked! You saved my day!
