iphone formatting issues

Hi all. I'm creating courses in SL 360 that need to play on iphone. I'm running into 2 issues:

I'm using the modern player, and my understanding is that it should automatically scale on the iphone. However, the courses cannot be viewed in landscape mode and half of the screen appears black. The CC, Restart, and Submit checkmark buttons for the assessment questions are not visible.

Also, I have built triggers to require the user to listen to the slides entire audio before being able to advance. These work on a laptop, but I can still swipe ahead on the iphone.

We are nearing launch and I'm stumped as to why these courses aren't functional on mobile. Any ideas?

Hi there, Jana. You came to the right place for help!

The issues you're seeing on mobile sound like a close match to two bugs we're currently investigating in Storyline 360. Let's tackle both one by one:

We identified an issue in the Modern Player where the bottom edge of the slide and player are off screen on mobile devices. Specifically, this happens in Landscape Mode when switching to a new browser tab, and then switching back to the original tab with the course content.
We logged a problem where state changes do not work correctly on mobile.

Do these descriptions match your experience? Would you also mind sharing your .story file so I can take a closer look? If that works for you, click here to share the file privately with me. I'll let you know what I find, and will delete it after troubleshooting.

There are two issues mentioned in this discussion, so I want to make sure you get the latest guidance:

Update 27 for Storyline 360 holds a fix for the problem with the Modern Player, where the bottom of slides would be cut off on mobile devices.
The issue where state changes do not work correctly on mobile is still an open bug.

Let me know if you see issue #1or #2 on the latest update or something different. I'm happy to share your experience in the appropriate report and help investigate further!

Be sure to install the latest Storyline 360 update (Build 3.49.24347.0) to take advantage of all the recent features and fixes.

Fixed: Learners could swipe on mobile devices to move between slides even when navigation was restricted, and swipe gestures were turned off.
