Overlapping Caption Times not showing in SL

Hi folks, I have a closed caption file that has times overlapping -- which works when it's uploaded to youtube for captions -- but when I load this into the SL caption import it won't show the overlapping times. Anyone have a work around for this?

In the below example the captions from 03-07 won't show at all. When the first set ends at 05 the next that start at 05 are shown.

example:

0:00:00,56 --> 0:00:05

Words Word Words

0:00:03 -- > 0:00:07

more words and words

0:00:05 --> 0:00:09

finally the last words for the example.
