Question Review Capabilities

Jan 02, 2020

Hi Team!

In regards to being able to review questions after completing a test, is it possible to:

1. show the questions answered incorrectly along with the response the user gave without showing them the correct answer?

2. edit/adjust the way the questions review looks? - it says INCORRECT real big at the bottom and we want to adjust the color of this banner to be in line with our brand colors and change the message as well.

3. have a button that reviews all incorrect questions instead of having to have a separate button for each results slide? We are using multiple results slides from separate sections and they are pulled in together for the composite score. However a review button triggered to the final/composite results slide doesn't show anything. Currently we have to have a 'review incorrect responses' button on the composite results slide triggered to the separate results slides for each individual section. The experience for the end user is less than ideal. Since we cover 14 subject matters in the exam they gave to click 14 individual buttons to see if what they got wrong in each.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Philip,

Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, the ability to customize quiz review formatting in terms of aesthetics and building a composite review of multiple quizzes are not items that are currently built into Storyline.

  1. During quiz review, there will be a checkmark next to the correct answer that cannot be customized.
  2. While the coloring of the banner cannot be edited, the Correct/Incorrect review labels can be changed in the Player Properties under the Text Labels sections titled Correct Feedback Title and Incorrect Feedback Title. Even though it's a bit older, this video may help you create a custom review layer where you can customize the feedback box, as well as the checkmark to your liking.
  3. The quiz review function is only specific to its results slide, so there currently isn't a way to create a composite review for multiple quizzes.

I appreciate you taking the time to line these ideas out, and while I’ll be happy to pass your thoughts on to our product team, you can also feel free to detail them more through a feature request

Hi, Philip.

I have exciting news to share!
We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 65, we've included important fixes and new features.

One of the features we've included is:

Define theme colors for correct and incorrect quiz elements, such as icons and review banners, to keep your designs consistent.

To take advantage of this feature, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
