Quiz getting stuck - Urgent help needed!

Mar 02, 2023

I have a course with 12 separate quizzes  however 1 of the quizzes is getting stuck on the last question... I'm getting the 3 dots (its trying to load) after I have submitted the question: it shows whether it was correct/incorrect and then gets stuck before moving onto the results slide....

It was working fine in Review 360, before I published and had it uploaded to our LMS... The issue presented itself in the LMS, But now when I run it in either in preview or Review 360 it is showing the same issue there too!...

I have also tested it in SCORM Cloud  - and it does the same there too!

All other quizzes in the project are fine... all the triggers etc. have been duplicated - so I cannot see what could be causing just this one to not work

Anyone got an ideas how to fix this... as I need this to work urgently for a company wide launch!

I have seen this when there are multiple Results slides. Check to ensure that the set of quiz questions that is not working has a unique results slide, failing that, check the Results slide properties.

Sometimes if you copy and paste a Results slide, you can miss updating the built-in variables that drive the results page.

Hello,

Just chiming in to share that we've seen this behavior occur on projects with corrupted Results Slides. One way to test if you are being affected is to do the following:

  • Test to see if your quiz is freezing or encountering the three dots right before it is set to jump to the Results Slide.
  • If this is the case, delete the existing Results Slide and replace it with a basic one without any formatting.

  • Test your quiz with the new Results Slide in place and check if it will now proceed.

Additionally, another thing that you can do is to import all of your slides over to a new project file

If your Result Slides still fail to load, open a case with our support team here so we can take a closer look at your files.

Hi Mala!

Sorry to hear that you've run into this behavior, but I'd be happy to assist!

A helpful first step would be testing your project file in SCORM Cloud. It's an online LMS environment that can be used to determine if an issue lies with a project file, or the LMS itself. If you test your course on SCORM Cloud and slide #9 functions properly, then your issue is likely LMS-based.

If you run into any setbacks, feel free to share a copy of your course here in the discussion or privately through a support case and we'd be happy to take a closer look!

Hi Mala!

You're welcome! I am so glad to hear your course performed as expected when testing in SCORM Cloud!

If your course works properly in SCORM Cloud but not in your LMS, there's a chance that the issue could be LMS-specific. I would suggest reaching out to your LMS Admin to see if they could provide some extra insight as well.

An additional troubleshooting step you can take is to enable the LMS Debug logs for your course and then replicate the issue. Seeing what your course is communicating in the background might help provide more information on what's happening.

Please let me know if you have any more questions!
