Hard to say without seeing the file Michelle - can you share it.
Here is the file.
Hi Michelle
I've previewed the whole file, previewed individual slides and published and uploaded the file to Scormcloud and been through it and I can't see the 'resources tab' display on any slide.
Are you seeing it on all slides or just specific ones?
Well mysteriously , it now is not showing the resources tab. So I am going to chalk today's fun up to gremlins in the system. Cheers!
Thanks for popping in to share an update, Michelle. Glad to hear that it's working for you.
We only take the good gremlins with no questions :)
I have the same problem except that after I deselected Resources it showed two Help links. I deselected Help and now there are two of them listed in the Player, one selected and one deselected. Only one Help displays in the course now, but the Resources link is still there.
Never mind - a co-worker told me to check the first slide. I had no idea there was a checkbox there for showing or hiding the Player features including the Resources link.
Hello Karen,
Thanks for reaching out! I'm happy to hear that you and your coworker teamed up and resolved this! I appreciate you coming back to share what worked for you; I'm sure it'll help other folks in the future!
This continues to occur consistently. I will deselect 'Resources' and it will disappear for a time, but it returns randomly and makes me a bit crazier than I already am.
Hi Jeff,
For the slides where the 'Resources' tab is appearing randomly, did you check the slide properties to see if you have the 'Player feature' set to 'Custom for the selected slides'?
If your slides are using the custom option, you may have Resources tab checked in the Slide Properties, which overrides the player settings.
Let me know if this works for you!
Thanks for your reply. Yes.. I do work with many programs and slides with custom settings and I'm pretty familiar with the custom properties options, but this is not the problem. When this first began happening, I thought that I had simply missed the checkbox and took the check out of the box. However, when I ran a preview of my set, it had reappeared in the player window with a check back in the options box without my input. This is occurring randomly but fairly consistently and I've submitted a support ticket. I'll post anything I learn that may be of help to others and again, i appreciate your response.
Thanks so much for sharing what you are experiencing, Jeff!
I see that you are working with my colleague Renato. You're in great hands. We'll continue the conversation in the support case.
Have a great afternoon!
This is happening with me and making me crazy! The resources/notes/menu tabs keep randomly appearing on slides. I am 100% sure they were not there before because I have multiple people doing QA across five different modules, everyone agress the were not there before. To correct the problem, I am having to go slide-by-slide and set custom settings for each slide.
Luciana - Wanted your team to know the same exact thing is happening with me (and making me crazy!). The resources/notes/menu tabs keep randomly appearing on slides. I am 100% sure they were not there before because I have multiple people doing QA across five different modules - the tabs were not there during first round of edits. Now I've got all different cominations of resources/notes/menu buttons checked (which are not supposed to be) and glossery and seek bar randomly unchecked (which are supposed to be). No consistent patter. To correct the problem, I am having to go slide-by-slide and set custom settings for each slide.
Hey Laurie.. just letting you know that this hasn't been resolved that I know of. It remains an issue for me as well. I'm currently working on a major project with hundreds of slides, layers, and menus and the nasty little bug continues to rear its ugly head. . I captured the issue in a video clip and sent it to the Articulate support folks sometime back that demonstrated the problem, and I've tried the suggestions they sent (copying slides into new project, reinstalling the program, etc.), but to my knowledge it's not been fixed yet.
Hi Laurie,
Thank you for informing our team of this issue and including these important details. I see you've connected with one of our Support Engineers, Chester. Please let them know if this problem continues or if you need assistance with anything else!
Hi Jeff,
Thank you for capturing what you're seeing on video. This is helpful for our team better understand the issue. I see that you had connected with my teammate, Jan. If you would like help troubleshooting further, please let Jan know, and they'll be happy to assist you!
I am also experiencing this bug. Seems fairly widespread, why hasn't Articulate fixed this yet???
I can recreate this problem 100% of the time and I've documented this problem with videos to Articulate Support. I have a zoom meet with them tomorrow. Hopefully we can get this resolved for everybody that's having this issue.
Stay tuned!
