Checking manifest for special or invalid characters
I'm trying to upload the zip file to our LMS system, and I am getting the following message: "Please check manifest for special or invalid characters(such as &, <, >, newline)"
This is not the 1st time I am uploading it, and for some reason, now I'm getting that message. I haven't done anything different to the file. I checked with the company that administered it (called UL - we use Compliance Wire). At least the file name doesn't have any special characters.
Any ideas? I have attached a screenshot of the error message.
Hello JoseMuniz-Pena! Thank you for including the screenshot! Have you made any edits to the zip folder that is generated from Storyline 360? If so, can you republish and upload the zip folder unchanged?
If you haven't made any changes to the zip folder, it would be helpful to test using another LMS environment like SCORM cloud. If you don't see an error message when uploading the zip folder in SCORM cloud, then it is likely an issue within the LMS and something an LMS admin might have more experience with.

Hi Lauren - I have not made any changes to the zip file. I also tried republishing, then clicked on the ZIP button and uploaded it to the LMS directly.
I followed your suggestion and I ran well in SCORM cloud, so I think it's an issue with the LMS company.

Hi JoseMuniz-Pena,
Thanks for updating this discussion!
I'm glad my teammate, Lauren, could help point you in the right direction. I suggest reaching out to your LMS provider directly since the course plays well in SCORM Cloud. If you have any questions, please let us know!
