Seekbar
Mar 08, 2014
Hi,
I need to have my slides set to be a specific length of time (the whole course has a time requirement). I already have the slides set to not be able to click 'next' until the timeline is complete. However, I do want to have the seekbar or something showing progress of where they are on the slide timeline, but I have discovered that you can click in the seekbar and speed up the timeline, which I cannot have the user be able to do. Is there a way to do this??
Thank you,
Phoebe

Hi Phoebe:
In the slide properties, deselect the seekbar and manually change the slide length in the timeline to what you want.

Hi Dennis,
will that remove the seek bar completely from the slide though? I still need something to show their progression, but I cannot have them able to skip ahead.
Thank you,
phoebe
You cannot control the seek bar properties, the only workaround is want Dennis suggests, if you have a seek bar they can by the nature of it it "seek".
Hi Phil,
Thank you. Is there any other function in storyline that will allow me to show progress of the slide, without using the seekbar then? IE: a countdown of the timline, etc.
Thanks,
Phoebe
Hi Phoebe,
There isn't any other built in functionality, but there are a lot of examples of custom seekbars/progress bars that you may be able to modify to fit your needs.
I also uploaded a scorm 1.2 to our companies LMS. How do I set the option to only click "next' when the user has completely viewed the whole imbedded video in a slide.
Hi, Ricardo.
Do you have access to the .story file to make edits?
If so, take a look at the following discussions related to embedded videos:
I hope this helps!
I was able to figure it with the following steps through PowerPoint.
Articulate> Slide Properties> Edit Menu>Additional Options>
