I am not aware of a trigger than can adjust those properties. I can see a work around where you have multiple versions of each slide - one with the side bar on and one with it off - and trigger to jump between those slides, but I doubt that juice would be worth the squeeze.

Are you talking about creating a button on slide to do this and NOT the hamburger icon?
