Unable to save story file - Corrupt Data
May 04, 2021
Hi Team,
I have created a course in Storyline 360 with around 240 slides (500 MB story file size) and when i am trying to save the file, I am getting a message that the project file could not be saved, CorruptedData.
I have already tried the below options but still no luck:
1. Make a copy > rename and then try to open
2. Restart the computer and then try
3. Clear the temp, plug-in patches and system junk file and then try.
4. Import the same file in the new file.
Moreover, I have checked the RAM which is 8 GB and space in the drive is around 30 GB but not able to diagnose the problem.
If anyone has an idea please let me know.
Waiting for your response.

Hello Manish,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing along with the troubleshooting that you've done.
Be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive) when creating, editing, and publishing Storyline courses. Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption or an inability to save changes. Check out this article for more information and tips.
