Adding Tickbox to PDF documents to confirm something has been read and understood
Hi Chloe,
In our company I'm the LMS Admin and I also do course development in Rise.
If I was asked to implement what you are describing in our organization, we would not use Rise at all. We would only use our LMS because of the functionality it offers. Our LMS allows documents, videos, web sites, etc., all to be attached to a course. Rules need to be set up to determine which of these items are optional, and which ones needed to be completed to get credit for the Rise course.
Here is what we would do:
- Turn the PDF into a fillable form that would allow learners to check boxes.
- Attach the PDF in the LMS as an assignment related to the Rise course.
- Learners would need to download the PDF from the LMS, complete it, and then upload it back to the LMS as a completed assignment where it would be received by the Course instructor.
I mention this to possibly help you to generate some ideas.
That being said, none of this may work for you because of how your LMS works.
As suggested by Judy, talk to your LMS Admin to find out what is possible.
