Aligning accessible text to center

I have noticed that centre alignment does not work properly for accessible text. It is always placed a little bit more to one side.

This is quite annoying, because my clients have pointed this out to me in the review. They think that I am too scatterbrained to centre the texts properly.

The funny thing is, that the alignment looks perfectly in the "working area" of Storyline, but not in the preview and not when published.

I have attached an example. Is there anything I can do to change this? (Sorry for my bad English, I am not a native speaker).

  • Hello Karin,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I can confirm that I was able to observe the same behavior as you where enabling the 'Accessible Text' via the Player toggle switch causes the text to shift a little bit to the left.

Accessible text is HTML text, so it is expected that enabling this option will cause some changes in how the text is displayed. You can read more about this here:

With the being said, I opened a support case on your behalf so we can verify for you if the movement of the text that you are seeing is within the expected behavior described in the article. Please be on the lookout for an email from our support team regarding your inquiry!
