Anchor points and Dragon voice commands
Simple version: Can I change an object's anchor point?
Long version: I'm creating linear guided systems simulations for a client. They are fond of the interactive nature of getting to practice in a safe environment. Accessibility are also important to both myself and the client. We're able to include their JAWS screen reader users, but they also have Dragon voice command users.
Dragon and JAWS are very different tools with different use cases. Generally speaking, their JAWS users have vision-based challenges. They can interact with the content, but they can't perceive it. Dragon users typically have motor-based challenges that prevents them from using a mouse and / or keyboard. They can perceive the content, but they can't interact with it.
Dragon uses voice commands like "Click button." We're seeing an issue where when we say, for example, "Click contact details." the mouse cursor moves to the bottom left-hand corner of the button. This means it sometimes clicks it, but is sometimes a pixel or three away from the button and so clicks... blank space near the button. Working with the client's accessibility expert, and noticing the consistency in the behaviour, we wonder if the cursor goes to the bottom-left of the button because the anchor point is there. If so, changing the anchor point to the centre of the object could resolve the issue.
Unfortunately, the official line is, "Articulate does not support Dragon." (or any voice command software as far as I can tell) and the only thing I can find regarding changing anchor positions is a staff member response on these forums from 9 years ago confirming you can't change an object's anchor position, but suggesting the user submits it as a feature request.
There is a workaround of placing a transparent shape over the button and then grouping them together to manipulate anchor points, but that plays havoc with the very accessibility tools and assistive technology we're trying to support in the first place.
So yeah, is there something I'm missing here, or is it still impossible to change an object's anchor point?

I am having this exact same issue with buttons in Storyline. I have had other issues with how Dragon works with radio buttons and checkboxes in Rise. I get the same response from Articulate, which I find very frustrating. There are more people with mobility impairments than blind people and yet Articulate are not supporting the most commonly used voice recognition software. As a UK public sector body, this presents us with legal issues. The products fail WCAG 2.2 and therefore don't comply with UK legislation. More importantly, we have around 2000 members of staff who can't access these training products. I hope somebody in Articulate starts to take this seriously very soon!
