Anyone experience Next button actions being replaced by Storyline?

Has anyone been having the following problem?

Over the last few months in three different Storyline projects, worked on by different people, the “user clicks” on Next button action gets replaced by Storyline to “Jump to next slide”.

Storyline does this replacement without warning and without reason. On seemingly random screens. Often when the file is first opened.

The action would have been originally been set by the developer, like going to a specific screen or any other actions, like modifying a variable etc. Then storyline gets rid of those actions and changes it to single action of “jump to next slide”. Without warning, at a later date.

We have been using Storyline for 10 years and it is only over the last 3 months where this has been happening.

We think there is probably a bug that has crept in with a Storyline update. And I am curious to know if others also have this frustrating issue happening to them. Thanks.
