Articulate 360 xApi offline tracking

I am using Articulate 360 software with xApi to track users online. I was able to do it by setting up the actor query string by referring to this document. I also need to track users offline. I am thinking of using a file path (like a JSON file) in local storage to store statements instead of using the LRS endpoint when the user offline. When the user online, I can read stored statements in the file and pass them to the LRS again. My question is: is it possible to use a file path instead of a URL as an endpoint when creating the actor query string? This would remove the authentication as well. So can I only pass actor details and file path as the query string when the user launches the articulate course? Does the articulate 360 support something like this? If not, is there anything I can do to track users when in offline mode? Any help would be much appreciated.
