Articulate Review: Passwords Being Required

I've experienced this problem in the past and it's happening again today. My SME was able to make comments in the Review site without issue prior to today. As a work around, I'm asking my SME to enter a "dummy" email account but I'm curious if there has been a resolution to this issue.
