Articulate Storyline is an unreliable system

I truly love how my work can just be inexplicably erased from a project without understanding why and not being able to restore it (yes, I tried to restore previous versions). From restoring a previous version, the slide in question has all layers for the knowledge check, and yet, the newest version is missing the correct layer. Again, inexplicably, Articulate Storyline is just erasing content and forcing me to waste even more time than I usually have to figuring out its many counter-intuitive aspects.

Is there a reason why Storyline doesn't have an auto-save feature? Maybe because it would make the software even more unreliable because it's disappearing content??

I'm having to answer to LMS users because of this...
