Author Edit should have even more possibility

Hello everybody,
I noticed in Rise author Edit is not built correctly, here the author is the programmer, but the author of the course is usually not the programmer, but the author of the course. This editor should be more flexible.

Many Thanks

    Hi Crystal

Has there been any update on this request?

I still cannot see the option to be able to at least mention a name of the person who is the actual author.

Every time i create a course, it's mostly "Hide Author" that I have to select, which is not the most effective utilization of a feature.

Please give us a free text-type field to mention the name of the real author(s) of a course.

Also asking if there is an update on this. Seems to me you need a "creator", and that is tied to the profile so you can determine ownership from a system technical point of view. But in terms of what the learner sees, the "Author" is the content owner, not the creator. For example, I am creating a course on behalf of my HR department, therefore the Author should be Sakon Human Resources, or the name of the Department head to demonstrate appropriate authority to the learner. How can this not be fixed yet? It should just be another edit function in the UI of the course. Or, provide option for both, but rename Author to Creator and vice versa.
