Auto-recover didn't/doesn't work - Storyline x64

I am using Storyline x64, and have the options set to Auto-recover every 10 minutes. 

Today I was working for over 6 hrs, and the color-picker froze the screen. 

  • I tried to save but nothing. 
  • I tried to close the window (at which point there's normally a prompt to save) but nothing.
  • I went into my C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Articulate\Storyline - and the last .tmp file was from 12.00pm (the time of my last manual save). 
  • I double-checked my auto-recover settings, and it was 10min. 

And before you ask... no, I am not working off shared storage.

What the .... Articulate!?

I'm afraid I've lost nearly the entire day of work.  Has anyone else experienced this with x64 version?

    I lose something every now and then but most of the time this is robust and saves me.

     

    I set it to every minute. Was this the first time of saving the file or a previously saved project?
