Automatic closed caption is not working with ai text to speech
I would make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of Storyline. This issue was addressed recently.
RonPrice - I posted last week on Friday. Then I realized that I had missed an update on Feb 17/19.
I am now on the Feb 19th version and am STILL having this issue with closed captions.
It happens if I duplicate a slide or a layer.
Then if I go into the text to speech audio on the duplicate and right click it to edit it - the audio changes but the closed captions do NOT. They closed captions stay at whatever they were on the other slide it was duplicated from.
Here is an example: CC doesn't match | Review 360
The base slide audio and CC match. The top botton match. The rest of the buttons lead to duplicated layers where the audio and the CC do not match.

Hi Nicole19! Thanks for confirming you’re now on the February 19 version, and I’m sorry to hear the issue is still happening!
When you duplicate a slide or layer and then edit the AI Text to Speech, the captions should update to match the revised audio. They should not retain the captions from the original slide.
Since you’re able to reproduce this consistently, and especially since you have an example file, the best next step would be to submit a support case and attach that .story file. That will allow the team to test the behavior directly and see what’s causing the captions to persist after duplication.
Appreciate you sticking with this and providing such clear details!

Hello Nicole19,
Thanks for the update! I see that you're working with our colleague Luiza in your support case. You're in excellent hands! We'll continue the conversation over in your case, so everything is in one spot.
Have a wonderful start to your week!
