Hi! 

Was this ever resolved? I am experiencing the same issue. I would like to have background audio running consistently at a low volume throughout, whether or not there is additional audio/narration.

I see where to adjust the volume lower during narration, but the yo-yo is wildly distracting!!!

    The feature request that allows authors to set the default background audio for an entire Storyline project has been released in update 3.82.31354.0.
     
    If you're having trouble with background audio functionality, would you be comfortable sharing a copy of your .story file for testing? Feel free to upload it here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
     
    We'll delete it from our system as soon as troubleshooting is finished!

      Hi Steven, it doesn't seem like the issue of being able to control the volume of the background audio has been resolved yet. This was requested 2 years ago

        As of November 2023, you can use the background audio volume variable to adjust the volume. If you have any questions or need help with your project, we're here to help! You can share your file with our team privately in a support case, and we'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete.
