Best way to add background music to entire presentation
I've found some older posts regarding this, but nothing for Storyline.
I don't mind editing the audio on my own to fade down and up in my own audio editor, but is there a way to get one audio to loop through the entire presentation?
- Hi everyone! - I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 74, we've included important fixes and new features. - One of the new features we've included is: - Create immersive experiences with continuous background audio that sets the tone and keeps learners engaged.
 - Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here. - Please let me know if you have questions!

- NancyWoinoskiSuper HeroHi Nate - Storyline does not have a playlist like in Articulate Presenter. One option might be to insert the audio in the slide master. If you do this the audio will play on every slide - the only drawback is that the audio track will restart at the beginning of each slide. This could work for you if you have the right audio track.
- NateVCommunity MemberThanks! I'll try it and see how it sounds. I don't think it'll work so I may just have to use it at the beginning and end. This would be a great addition in future updates!
- Hi Nate - here's a technique for looping videos on the slide masters. It will work for your audio clip, too. Like Nancy mentioned, your clip should be designed to loop so there isn't a hard stop/start each time it loops.

David and Nancy make a good point in that the audio file should loop as seamlessly as possible, otherwise it'll sound awkward every time the loop restarts.I use a software package called SmartSound, and allows me to create loops that usually have a pretty clean transition at the restart point. If you can't get your sound file to work the way you want, send me a PM and I'll give you a hand.
- jeffCommunity MemberI agree with Nate, this should be a standard feature...
- NancyWoinoskiSuper HeroOne thing you can do is add the audio track to the published html output using JavaScript. I have not tried it yet but Steve suggests one way to do it in this post. http://community.articulate.com/forums/p/25873/143142.aspx I think there might even be an easier way than what he suggests but like I said I have not tried it yet.
- Jeff, have you submitted this as a feature request yet?
- SophiaDennisCommunity MemberHas there been any progress on this? I would love to use this program, but it seems that Camtasia will suit my needs much more than this program?
- Hi Sophia and welcome to Heroes! - Storyline does not yet include a background music or playlist feature - although as you'll see here it's been the discussion of a feature request. There are some other ideas and tips in this thread for how to add the background audio within Storyline.
- TeresaVanderposCommunity MemberHI Ashley, this was something I was looking at trying today. I see this post goes back six years...any chance I can do this now. I have a music file that I would love for it to play across multiple slides on a low volume... I saw there was mention of a feature request, so perhaps it is doable in 360 now? Thanks Teresa - Hi there, Teresa. Background audio is not a standard feature in Storyline at this point. We're tracking this request, and there have been some community workarounds. - We'll let you know if there are any changes!
