Blinking GIF files in Storyline / GIF blinks when looping
Hi Spencer,
Thanks for reaching out!
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue with blinking GIF files. This shouldn't be happening. Are you willing to share your file with us? I'd like to test it on my end to investigate further. You can upload it here or privately in a support case.
Hi Kelly, has there been a solution to the blinking gifs. I have the same problem and it is really causing me a lot of trouble.

Hi sylviadrower!
Sorry to hear you've run into trouble with GIFs from your Storyline course!
As Kelly shared, it would be easier to troubleshoot this behavior if we could see a copy of the .story file, and the GIFs you've been working with. Do you mind uploading those items here in the discussion or privately through a support case? We'll delete them from our system as soon as we've finished testing!
In the meantime, it would be helpful to know:
- Are you working with a .story file/GIFs that are stored locally on your machine, and not on a network or shared drive?
- Are you observing the blinking GIFs when previewing your course within Storyline, or after published to Review 360, or LMS?
- Does performing a repair of your Storyline installation improve the behavior?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

A workaround I discovered that can sometimes work is importing the GIF into After Effects and exporting it out of Adobe Media Encoder as an Animated GIF. In some cases, it even helps on the file size. That, and you can go frame-by-frame to double check and make sure there's not an accidental blank frame.
