Branching Course-RISE
Andreas_Ch0ul: There is a way to achieve some of what you want. You could branch the course for different users, and then return them to a completion lesson. But you have to give up the navigation menu.
- Also note that you won't be able to get the quiz scores. Rise only lets you track completion via 1 quiz, or via a completion trigger. So you have to use a completion trigger.
Here's instructions:
In the Theme, under Navigation > Type, turn off the Navigation. This hides the menu, so the user can't jump to the completion lesson.
Under Navigation > Buttons, turn off the Previous/Next Lesson Buttons. This prevents the user from navigating to a lesson they don't need to complete.
In Lesson Headers, turn off the Lesson Count Labels.
Instead of using the built-in Navigation menu and buttons, use button blocks for navigating. (See https://www.articulatesupport.com/article/Rise-How-to-Use-Button-Blocks )
For your situation, do this:
- At the end of the general lesson, have a button stack, with one button that jumps to the male lesson and another that jumps to the female lesson.
- At the end of the male lesson and at the end of the female lesson, have a button that jumps to the completion lesson.
- Put the quizzes in Storyline blocks. If desired, require passing to "complete" the block.
In the completion lesson, use a Storyline block with a "Complete course" trigger. When you publish the course, track completion via that trigger.
