BUG: Can't 'Preview' Storyline Timeline.
It's about as straight-forward as it sounds; without any rhyme or reason, I will suddenly be unable to 'preview' the timeline of a slide or layer in the Storyline editor. I can click 'Play' or press ...
Do you have a segment of the timeline highlighted? I have this issue often and it is usually due to me having accidentally dragged and highlighted a section of the timeline. I'll hit play and it'll only play a small section like 0.1 seconds to 0.3 seconds.
I've encountered this many times too. Selecting a time span so small it looks like you've just got a single start time selected. The solution is to simply click on another spot in the timeline so it updates the play from point. It would be really nice if there was a 1 click solution to play from start since that's most often where I'm having difficulty positioning the playhead.
