Bug in text label storyline 360?

Since the last update (my current version is v3.90.32893.0), I'm experiencing issues with the player's label language. Even if I save a project with the labels in Spanish, for example, when I reopen it the English labels are automatically applied, with the consequent problem with the feedback buttons. Any idea?

I have a problem where the text labels in SL resets to default English.
I use the Norwegian bokmål built-in text labels, but every time I publish a new version to Review the labels reset back to English.
My file is stored locally on my PC. My colleague experience the same issue.
Anything I could check, any suggestions what the issue might be?

        Hello Steven

        See my answer above: "

Hello - I received mails from "support@articulate.com" in the past."

Would it be a great idea to copy the answer in this thread, so

        • I can read it and
        • others can read it

        Thank you

        cheers

        Axel

      Hello AxelDitter-66bb,

      Happy to help!

Would you mind sharing a copy of your translation label and Storyline 360 project file so we can test if you're affected by the bug discussed in this thread? We'll share any available workarounds with you if you are! You can share your files here or privately by opening a support case. We'll delete them when we're done testing!

I hope you received the needed files.

I just played around and see, that the German Labels have

189 strings and the English 192?

Yesterday I overrode the needed strings in the english labels and it worked - today it failed ....

        cheers

        Axel

      Hello Núria,

Thanks for the additional information. I opened a support case on your behalf so our support engineers take a closer look at the behavior. You're in good hands, and someone from our team will be in touch shortly to help troubleshoot!

  • Hello Núria,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue. We are currently tracking a known bug that causes custom label sets that start with the letter "A" to "E" to be selected as the default label sets for newly opened Storyline 360 courses.

Would you mind making a quick Peek 360 recording of the behavior you're seeing so I can confirm if this is what's causing the issue for you? Additionally, you can also try renaming your label sets so they don't start with the letters A to E to see if this helps.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
