Can Peek record system audio?

Peek makes it really easy to record screencasts by recording narration at the same time you’re recording any on-screen actions using your computer’s mic. It sounds like you'd also like to have the option to record system audio, as well! Articulate 360 is evolving everyday, and that's a neat idea! Would you mind sharing your thoughts with our product development team here?

Just popping back in to share this workaround my colleague pointed out--you'll notice this is in an Articulate Replay thread, but the same method can be used for Peek. Give that a try, and let us know how you make out!

Hey Alyssa, Sorry I did not get back to you.  The work around does not seem to work.  I have some videos that I wish to record from system audio.  I want the video an audio in Peek. For now I am having to record in Camtasia then upload to Peek or Replay.  I will submit a feature request.  Since I am using video in LMS it sure would be easier to do all this with Articulate tools.

No worries. It seems like a simple issue that would benefit a lot of users.

Not being able to record system audio seriously limits the value of this tool--I'd rather just keep using Camtasia, which has no such limitation.

Has there been any progress on this front? I see this as a needed feature, to mute the mic and record system audio

We haven't made changes to the recording options within Peek yet. Were you able to test this workaround that Alyssa previously shared? 

Is there a way to NOT record sound in Peek?
