Cannot publish course on storyline
I'm trying to publish a course within Storyline but each time I try to publish an error comes up saying "the file is read-only, open by others or don't have proper permissions" however, none of that is the case. This is a few for similar classes that I have published, this is the only one I cant publish.
Hi Gina,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue! That shouldn't be happening, but I'm happy to help troubleshoot.
- Are the files saved to your local hard drive (typically your C: drive), or are they on a network drive? If they're saved locally, here are a few approaches for us to take:
- Make a copy of an affected .story file, and change the name of it. Are you able to open the copy?
- If that doesn't help, you can try to repair Storyline 360.
If you're still getting stuck, please let us know! We can look at your .story file to investigate further. You can upload it here or share it privately in a support case. We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete.

check the last char of the course title - with the current version of storyline there is no "space" or multiple dots allowed anymore

I still cannot publish it. To clarify, it seems I can publish to Review360 but I cant publish to LMS/LRS which is the format I need.
Hi Gina,
Sorry to hear you're still having difficulties publishing.
Could you please confirm if you have done a repair of Storyline 360 and that you are saving your file locally?
We'd be happy to take a look at your file. You can upload it here in this thread or privately in a support case.
Thanks so much!
