Captioning Service

Has anyone here used the services of an organization which does closed captioning of A/V files, and if so, what did you like/dislike? What file type(s) did you have to provide, and what file type(s) did they return? What was the typical turnaround? Accuracy of captions? Language(s) supported?

DM me if necessary.

  • I know this is a little old. Where I am we can't use youtube to caption things for our media, but a recent update to Premiere Pro now offers built-in caption support. We can generate full captions for an hour of video in a few seconds.

We then export this and add it to any videos or audio clips we have in our storyline courses and use the storyline caption editor to proofread timings, punctuation, and any mistakes.

Oh, I saw that at Adobe Max. I didn't realize it was new. I thought I was late to the party! So happy they included that.
