Catalogue of existing courses

Hey beautiful creators!

I am hoping to make a catalog of all of the courses I have created in Articulate that is all in one spot and keyword searchable.

I work for a large financial institution and we freaquently have policy and procedure changes that call for updates in our eLearnings.

For instance, if we change the credit score required to receive a certain loan rate, it is difficult to know which courses need updating. It would be amazing to have a document that we can use the ctrl+F function to search the specific rate and know which courses include it.

Thought I would check here before trying to create something.

I have tried to print into a word document but unfortunately the text on the slides is only included as a photo which is not searchable.

Thankful for any insight!

  • Hi, Lauren,

If you use File > Translation > Export to Word, you'll get all of the course's text as text in a Word file. Of course, you'd have to search each separate course file for the keywords...

You could possibly use a spreadsheet that includes a column or columns for the keywords you'd normally search for. For example, I'm guessing there should be a column that indicates the Policy and/or Procedure number associated with the course. There might be another column that indicates what specific items (rates, etc.) are mentioned in the course. And there should perhaps be a column that indicates any hyperlinks in case URLs change.  (Or It might even be something that requires a relational database.)

It'd be a lot of work to set up. But, if done right, it should be easy to search and to maintain.

    Good luck!
