Changes to menu content not showing
The built-in Menu in the Player uses the Titles in the fields you see under the small slide images in the Scenes panel:
For slides with a Title text box, the program puts whatever is entered in that text box into the Title field in the Scenes panel.
If you double-click into the field in the Scenes panel, you can change that text. For example, that's typically done to name slides that don't have a Title text box.
However, when you edit that field directly, it breaks the connection if there is a Title text box on the slide. From that point on, when you edit the Title text box on the slide, the program doesn't update the Title field in the Scenes panel.
Without seeing your file, I would guess that's what happened: some connections between Title text boxes and Title fields have been broken.
Fortunately, you can re-connect the text box and the field. To do that, enter "Untitled Slide" into the field. Note that you have to enter it exactly like that, with the first letter of each word capitalized. (Or, if you're using Storyline in another language, enter whatever text Storyline shows for a new slide without a title.)
If you're having problems re-connecting the text box and the field, another option is to copy the text in the Title text box and paste it into the Title field.
And if you're still having an issue, I suggest you upload a copy of the .story file for troubleshooting.
