Have you tried importing the file into a new project? If so, I'd also recommend seeing if there's a working version of the file in the Temp folder.

this is killing me too! I have a project I have to publish to our learning portal for 3,000 enrolled employees on Tuesday 

1. I have the latest version of Storyline 3 - the most recent software update was Monday
2. It happened in two projects today
3. I tied saving to my C:Drive, desktop, and google folder - none worked.

The error in your screenshot indicates a possible data error in your project file. As a troubleshooting step, try importing your slides to a new project file to see if this works. If the issue persists, would you be willing to share a copy of it here or in private by opening a support case so we can test the file and figure out what's happening? We'll delete it as soon as we're done with troubleshooting.
