Creating a template

Hi guys,

I would like to create a full template of a Storyline 360 project with templates for slides and graded questions, I already have a color theme created and some styles laid out but I would like to create templates for quiz questions ... any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

  • If you create a layout called "Question", Storyline will always use it when you go to Slides -> Graded question and use one of those options. Since quiz questions can vary so much, I'd probably keep it pretty simple with something like a large space for content on the left, and a smaller space for an image or decorative item on the right. You could then adjust your Feedback Master so that it takes up the same amount of space as the image/decorative item on the right!

Thank you Elizabeth! Do you know if there is any way to change the background overlay from black to another color in the feedback?

By default the feedback layers are "dialog" layers which automatically have a semi-transparent black background. You can change that in the Feedback Master (View -> Feedback Master) by changing the Background Style. I probably wouldn't use one of the built-in options but would choose format background (Screenshot below) and pick a different color/transparency level:

    Greetings, Dave.

I have been using SL360 for three weeks so I am probably doing this the hard way, but here is the way I created "template" slides for my entire course.

I created four slides for questions: 1) "Click on Something", 2) True or False, 3) Multiple Choice, and 4) Progress Check. I keep these  four slides at the end of the scene. As I build the course, I just copy the slide with the type of question I want and paste it into the sequence. The neat thing about this method is that it does provide visual and structural uniformity of the presentation. However, I can immediately modify the slide (such as make the answer buttons longer) without being locked in like Master Slides or Templates. When the course is completed, I just delete the unused slides from the scene.

Works fast for me - someone who doesn't know how to use SL360 completely.

    Good Luck!
